- 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ alumni must register for a 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Libraries Borrowing Card in order to borrow items from the Libraries. Your 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ alumni usernameÌý(generallyÌýfirstname.lastname [at] mail.mcgill.ca)Ìýand password are required in order to register. If you do not have an alumni username and password,Ìý.
- Cost for alumni: free
- 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Libraries Borrowing Cards are valid in all 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµÌýlibraries, subject to the borrowing policies of individual collections.
- A 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Libraries Borrowing Card may only be used by the person to whom it is issued.
- The 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Libraries Borrowing Card is valid for 12 months; the expiration date is calculated from the date of registration.
- Fines or other sanctions are imposed for late returns and cards may be cancelled if misused.
Note: Registering for a 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Libraries Borrowing Card does not provide remote access to the Library’s electronic resources outside of those available to all alumni, nor does it give you access to all library services and resources.
To register for a 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Libraries Borrowing Card:
- Complete the application for theÌý.
- Visit any Information Desk atÌýany libraryÌý±ð³æ³¦±ð±è³ÙÌýthe Rare Books & Special Collections Library or the 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµÌýArchives.
- Bring a photo ID & proof of address.
Once your application has been processed, you will be provided with a 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Libraries Borrowing Card that you can use to borrow items.
To renew a 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Libraries Borrowing Card:
The 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Libraries Borrowing Card may be renewed by email, by phone, or in person atÌýany libraryÌýexceptÌýtheÌýRare Books & Special Collections Library or the 91µ¼º½ÊÓÆµ Archives.
