Special Notes:

  • Student must complete all Thesis courses (24 credits) and all Required Courses (15 credits) as defined in the eCalendar
  • Students are required to take the 0-credit courseÌýEDPE 632D1/D2Ìýin their first year. This is aÌýbi-weekly seminar course given by staff, invited speakers, and senior graduate students in different areas of research related to Human Development. Students are expected to participate by reading pertinent literature prior to seminars and asking questions at each seminar. Attendance is compulsory, and the course is graded pass/fail based on participation.
  • Students must select from complementary options as follows:
    • One Complementary Statistics option (3 credits) - choose between qualitative (EDPE 687)Ìýversus quantitativeÌý(EDPE 682)Ìýcourse options
    • One Complementary Course option (3 credits) - choose from a specific list of courses that may be taken in Fall or Winter of Year 1 or Year 2; students may consult with their supervisor for advice.ÌýÌýThis choice is typically based on one's specific area of interest or the subject matter of their proposed thesis
  • Students should aim to take 12 credits per term, with one term at 9 credits (for a total of 45)
