Thanks to a new protocol, patients showing strong signs of stroke — scoring 3 out of 3 on the — are now transported directly by ambulance to The Neuro, bypassing regional hospitals. This change, a partnership between the 91µ¼º½ÊÓƵ Health Centre, the CISSS de la Montérégie Ouest and the CISSS de la Montérégie Centre, ensures that patients receive immediate attention from The Neuro’s expert stroke team. As a tertiary stroke centre, The Neuro offers advanced multidisciplinary care that can significantly improve survival and recovery. This is a major step forward for the Montérégie West population, who now benefit from faster access to expert stroke treatment when every second counts to save brain cells.Ìý
